And meets the mind, with guile, the soul entwined   
With blinding color, flashing lights, till night

But chained, as is, with colors sweet, bewitched   
In seat, the soul is free from toil's sweet sweat   
So free to wander, free to lose the thought

A Hair's BreadthUp the Length of stone arose  So smooth, in death, from pillared source   
Not an Inch to call a gap  Mortar falls from weathered heights   
In the wind moves mighty stone  And bends to touch the cluttered earth   
The mortar speaks of life and health  Polished tomb, well-kept, wind-swept   
Stand tall, lay down, find ways to show  A face, in sketch, from dying earth   
Till earth turns grey and pillar white  And so, at last, in life is shown   
A hidden core, a soft deceit  A sign of life was death itself A Hair's Breadth
